A strong team spirit and pride in our work have always characterised our culture.
We are unflinchingly forward-looking and want to challenge traditional operating methods. We are committed to a common goal: we strongly believe that ownership belongs to everyone.
There are currently about 200 Taaleri employees. Our expertise in the big picture is strongly in the finance sector, but we also have plenty of knowledge and skills in the energy sector, jurisprudence, and real estate business, to name a few. We have plenty of people with an education background in business, but also engineering expertise is growing. Right now, responsibility and impact are important themes for us and we want to develop in them.
Every year we convene a few times for Taaleri’s Tehdaspäivä days to share information with each other, to hear about the progress of different projects, and to further specify our common strategy. Getting together with each other is important – whether it happens at Tehdaspäivä days, at meetings, or at shared extracurricular events. Our team has a high number of people engaging in different sports, but we also have shared hobbies: yoga, golf, horseback riding, going to theatres – or whatever suggestion someone comes up with.
Our values have always given us the important framework for performing the work. We are guided by customer understanding, mutual respect, entrepreneurship and ethicalness. Please take a look at our values in more detail.
I have been with Taaleri since 2011. I noticed Taaleri back in the day from the Arvopaperi magazine, and the company seemed interesting. I did some more research and called the company’s switchboard. I’m still on that same path. Initially, I was a private banking intern working in various customer support duties; within a few months, there was an opening in my dream job on a portfolio management team, initially working in analysis duties and as a two-man team with Mika Heikkilä in Finnish securities, which had been my passion going back to my school days. Fortunately for me, also Jonas Koivula unlocked an opportunity to start get familiar with the companies of German-speaking Europe. So since autumn 2011 I have been in portfolio management of Finnish and European securities, i.e. my hobby became my job. In my work I meet a lot of the top management of listed companies and our customers, I read various analyses and corporate materials, and I manage Taaleri’s share funds together with Mika and Jonas. The main job in practice is to think about which companies we will invest in and which ones we will take a pass on. I’ve been pleased with Taaleri’s entrepreneurial culture since the beginning, and I work with some really great people. The atmosphere isn’t too formal, and you can be yourself at the workplace.
I started at Taaleri as an investment specialist in February 2014. I had eight years of previous experience in wealth management, but Taaleri’s perspective was fresh and different. Taaleri was one of the first actors that enabled opportunities for private equity fund investing to non-institutional investors. I wanted to be a part of enabling these concrete ownerships, so in 2015 I transferred to the private equity funds team as the administrative manager. In 2017 I started managing private equity fund projects related to the development of new products and funds administration. Taaleri is a passion, not a workplace. It’s cool to work with awesome colleagues and be involved in making the world even a little better.
I’ve been with Taaleri since October 2013. My job duties have included jurisprudence and much more in Finland and abroad. Today I handle legal issues related to wealth management and I’m on the segment management team. In practice, my days are filled with the intricacies of the law, assisting co-workers, and numerous other product and other development projects. At Taaleri, every day is different and there are crazy new ideas to try behind every corner. I’m also responsible for the Slack channel daily dose of humour and the espresso machine.
I have worked at Taaleri as part of the private equity funds’ real estate team since the beginning of 2017. My job duties include financial modelling of our residential and real estate funds and investment targets, various transaction processes and management of our collaboration partners. My job is a diverse combination of different areas of the real estate sector and the world of private equity funds. It’s great how the expertise and self-governance of the employees is trusted: I am responsible for my own job duties and for scheduling them in the way I see as best. In fact, Taaleri’s self-governance culture has given me the opportunity to develop and learn – not only substance learning, but also about decision-making and taking responsibility.
I have been with Taaleri since its beginning, i.e. since 2007. I have been a banker throughout my Taaleri career - initially for private individuals, but since 2017 as an investment manager in our institutions team. At the core of my work is the customer; I try to solve their wealth management and ownership needs by utilising Taaleri’s specialists in different areas. The best thing about working at Taaleri is that you can be your own self! You can have a splashy nature – as long as the work gets done and the customers are satisfied. Taaleri isn’t rigidly set in its ways. Our broad-minded product offering makes sure that you learn something new every day: there’s a bit of a forester, wind miller and real estate mogul lurking in every banker :-)
We are looking for talented people who are passionate about their work, get things done, are committed to shared goals, and have a first-class service attitude towards clients and co-workers. Are you interested in joining our team?
